GOTHIA, Joan Blaeu (1662)This map of Southern-Sweden was published in 1662 by Joan Blaeu (1598-1673). The author of the map was the Swedish cartographer Anders Bureus (1571-1661), who depicted the complicated shoreline very accurately. The map was dedicated to the Swedish General Lennart Torstenson (1603-1691), governor of the largest part of the depicted area.
