The Blackcap Titmouse is found in all localities of Pennsylvania, but during the summer these birds are usually seen in woods and thickets, from which in winter they are often found about houses or weedy feilds and swamps searching for food. These birds sometimes nest in natural cavities, but frequently excavate holes in trees and stumps.
